What is special about Ipiphany Cognitive Analytics?

Ipiphany Cognitive Analytics has been designed to extract insights from structured and unstructured data that enables business experts and decision makers to make better and more informed evidence based decisions.

This thinking that led to the creation of Ipiphany can be summarised in five points:

  1. Humans are unique ‘intelligent sensors’ of the real world – whose ability to capture, interpret, summarise and efficiently communicate real world observations is unparalleled.
  2. Consequently written and spoken communication contains high value information that is not typically found in other data sources.
  3. This information is critical to understanding the nature of complex relationships, and cause and effect, required to generate the most valuable business insights – insights that drive competitive advantage.
  4. However unaided machine intelligence is still a long way from being able to replicate the knowledge, reasoning and experience of business & domain experts – who are able to use their domain and real world knowledge to translate patterns into insights that can be used to drive business decisions and actions
  5. To unlock this we need a collaboration of man and machine intelligence

To facilitate this collaboration of man/machine intelligence, Ipiphany Cognitive Analytics has been designed to help you by automatically perform the heavy lifting of

  • Understanding natural language text and extract relevant concepts, themes and relationships
  • Discovering the patterns across combinations of structured and unstructured data that have the biggest impact on business KPIs and metrics
  • Visualising the patterns and the relationships between them so they can be easily understood
  • Explaining the insights and provides context-relevant real world examples and evidence so that people can understand and validate the ‘story’ behind the numbers

So this leaves you free in your role as a business and domain expert to use your knowledge, experience and reasoning

  • To define business problems, objectives and areas of interest
  • To validate and connect the patterns discovered by Ipiphany to the real world in a way that
  • Leads to insights that drive effective understanding, decisions and actions
